Kevin
put the capstones on the circular raised flower bed. We tucked filter fabric (aka: sediment
screen) under those stones and around the inside of the enclosure, which should
keep dirt from getting between the wall stones, absorbing water, freezing, and
forcing the walls apart… which would not be a good thing. That done, we spent the rest of the day
building the sun room steps, using up all but three of the intact
gravestones. At the end of the day, we
used those three remaining gravestones to build a ramp from the backyard up to
the shop door. Kevin kept telling me the
ramp was too steep. After it was done, I
tested it out and found… that I’ll be remaking it into the form of steps
sometime soon. Chree left shortly before
noon for her monthly Devin fix. (The
actual excuse, this time, was that Katy was going for the weekend over to
Portland, ME to a bachelorette party for her brother’s fiancée.)
