Got the preliminary septic design and site plan from Brad Ramsay via email attachment. He cited Leicester zoning regulations that clearly state that the house is in Lake Zone 2 – so the 40 foot side yard setback requirement does apply. Site survey showed that the Glassner’s driveway is completely on our property for one stretch. Brad recommended moving the car turnaround area to the north side of the driveway closer to the house. Concurred.

Brought with me from Virginia a home-made 20' tall wooden ladder and camera platform, built from 25 year old wood formerly part of the Virginia house backyard deck. About a foot of snow on the ground. Met Shelley Glassner… briefly. Attempted to install camera perch single-handedly. Got the ladder up; platform 2x6 brace broke when the platform dropped (not on me!) during lifting. Big oops! Guess that wood recycling idea wasn't as sound as it might have been... Left the ladder leaning up against the tree, sure that it was heavy enough to remain in place unsecured. Verified that the driveway will be equidistant between the Glassner’s and the Lapidus’ driveways, i.e., the address really should be the one previously approved by the Zoning Administrator.
